WILL KIMBROUGH

Will Kimbrough is a singer/songwriter living in Nashville, born and raised on the Gulf coast. After meeting backstage at a show in New Orleans in the late 1990’s Will and Jimmy Buffett began collaborating, beginning with the song “Piece of Work”, which appeared on Jimmy’s “License to Chill” album.

Their collaboration continued with songwriting, studio recording and live performances right up until Jimmy’s untimely passing in September 2023. One of the last songs they wrote together, “Bubbles Up”, has been released with a whole lot of love. Even Paul McCartney loves it.

All told, Will has assisted with twenty-one songs on the last seven Jimmy Buffett albums, including the soon-to-be-released “Equal Strain on All Parts”. Other songs Will helped contribute to Jimmy’s catalog include “Nobody from Nowhere”, “Wings”, “Soulfully”, “Hula Girl at Heart”, “A Lot to Drink About”, “The Rocket Grandpa Rode”, “Mailbox Money”, “Half Drunk”, “The Slow Lane”, and more.

Will is an honorary member of the Coral Reefer Band and has himself released eleven solo albums and nine albums with his various bands. Will has produced two Grammy nominated albums for Shemekia Copeland. He was voted Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year in 2004. Will’s songs have been recorded by many other artists including Little Feat, Todd Snider, Shemekia Copeland, Jack Ingram and Radney Foster. In addition, Will is a long time team member of Songwriting With Soldiers, as well as the affiliate Warrior PATHH post traumatic growth program, making over twenty road trips every year to write songs with combat vets and first responders.

Will is a consummate storyteller, songwriter, singer, guitarist and mandolin picker. You can expect a fun and entertaining show that will feature everything from “Piece of Work to “Bubbles Up”.  We are thrilled to have Will appear this year at Barefoot Children in the Sand.

TWO DUDES IN FLIP FLOPS

Don't let those innocent faces fool you.  They have ruined more Saturday evenings for parrot heads at Barefoot then you can count on two hands and two feet.  They are the  soundtrack to the hallway party.  Remember...Pace Yourself!  This is a marathon, not a sprint.  Although to quote from one of our members "Sometimes you want to enjoy the ride, and sometimes you just want to get there".

Two Dudes in Flip Flops will get you there; your hair will be messed, you may be missing a couple items of clothing, you may smell a little like Captain Morgan, but they will get you there.
